Ramgarh Upazila Hosts Student Startup and Science Project Exhibition

A day-long "Startup Science Project and Innovative Idea Exhibition" was held at the Ramgarh Upazila Conference Hall on Friday, aimed at fostering scientific research and an entrepreneurial mindset among school students.

Organized under the Educational Excellence Support Scheme (EESS) of the Secondary Education Development Programme (SEDP) under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, the event operated under the banner: "Show your idea in reality not just in the notebook."

The program brought together students and teachers from various local secondary schools to showcase practical solutions for technology, community development and science.

Ramgarh Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Kazi Shamim attended the exhibition as the chief guest while the event was chaired by Muha. Mashiqur Rahman Headmaster of Ramgarh Government High School.

A diverse group of special guests including local political leaders and administrators attended to encourage the young innovators. Among them were Khagrachari District BNP Vice President Hafez Ahmed Bhuiyan, Ramgarh Upazila BNP President Jasim Uddin, BNP leader Mayor Bahar Uddin, Jamaat-e-Islami Upazila Ameer Faizar Rahman and NCP Upazila Chief Coordinator Harunur Rashid.

Students from several key institutions, including Ramgarh Government High School, Ramgarh Balika High School, Nakapa High School, Ramgarh Ideal High School and Balipara High School pitched their research and startup concepts at the venue.

A panel of judges comprising Ramgarh Government College Lecturer Azizul Haque, Upazila ICT Officer Rehan Uddin and Livestock Officer Dr. Muha. Rubaiyatul Islam inspected each stall based on innovation and real-world applicability.

Ramgarh Balika High School clinched the top prize, while Ramgarh Government High School and Nakapa High School secured second and third positions, respectively. The event concluded with the guests distributing crests and certificates to the winning students and their mentoring teachers.
