The inaugural ceremony of Echoes of Hope – Children for Children, a healing centered fundraising exhibition organised by HopeWave Foundation in support of the children of Gaza, will be held on January 6, at La Galerie of Alliance Francaise de Dhaka, Dhanmondi in the capital. The exhibition showcases drawings, handwritten letters, photographs, and project documentation created by children from Ukhiya, including refugee, indigenous, and underserved communities. Through their creative expressions, these children extend messages of care, resilience, and solidarity to the children of Palestine, demonstrating a shared sense of humanity that transcends borders. All exhibited works were developed during a three-day psychosocial art campaign conducted with children in Ukhiya. The initiative highlights how creative engagement can offer a space for emotional healing while enabling children to express empathy and hope despite living with displacement and trauma. In addition to its artistic and healing focus, the exhibition serves as a fundraising initiative for the children of Gaza. Organized in partnership with PACSOC, all contributions from the exhibition will be directed to the Owneh Initiative. Munimah Mahreen, poet, activist, and founder of HopeWave Foundation, said ‘We want the world to witness how children living with unseen wounds still choose empathy over silence and hope over despair.’
