A large number of Jamaat-e-Islami supporters gathered in Dhaka’s Jatrabari area on Saturday morning (January 25) as the party launched its election rally for the Dhaka-5 constituency at Kajla Bridge.

Jamaat Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman is scheduled to address the rally later in the day.

The party has planned multiple rallies across the capital. Its next event is set to take place at the Gendaria Dhupkhola Field around 2:00pm for the Dhaka-6 constituency. Another rally is scheduled for approximately 4:00pm at the Dhaka Alia Madrasah field under the Dhaka-7 constituency.

Party supporters were seen arriving in groups from different parts of the city, with heightened security in the surrounding areas.
