The first session of the 13th National Parliament resumes today, Sunday (March 29), following the Eid-ul-Fitr break.
The day's proceedings will begin with a meeting of the Treasury Bench (government party), followed by a scheduled meeting of the Special Parliamentary Committee on Ordinances. The current session originally commenced on March 12 but was adjourned on March 15 for the holidays.
According to the order of business, lawmakers from both the treasury and opposition benches will participate in a discussion on the notice of thanks for the President’s speech. The agenda also includes a ministerial question-and-answer period and deliberations on notices of urgent public importance.
The Business Advisory Committee has decided that the current session will continue until April 30.
