Unidentified Body Recovered from Karnaphuli River

Naval Police recovered the body of an unidentified man, estimated to be between 45 and 50 years old, from the Karnaphuli River in Chittagong city on Monday (June 8).

The body was found floating near Jutli Ghat No. 1 in the Majhirghat area at approximately 1:15 pm.

Md. Mizanur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the Sadarghat River Police Station, stated that local fishermen spotted the body and alerted authorities. Police promptly arrived at the scene to recover the remains. Efforts are currently underway to establish the man's identity.
