Maintenance work begins at Karnaphuli Tunnel

Routine maintenance work has begun at Karnaphuli Tunnel in Chittagong from Saturday (October 25). This work will continue from 11 pm to 5 am every day until October 30.

This information was given in a notification signed by Bangladesh Bridge Authority Deputy Director and Public Relations Officer Md. Masud Rana Sikder on Friday (October 24).

The notification further said that during the maintenance work, traffic movement will continue in a controlled manner through traffic diversion from Patenga to Anwara or from Anwara to Patenga. However, passengers may have to wait for a minimum of 5 minutes and a maximum of 10 minutes on both sides of the tunnel, depending on the amount of traffic during this time.
