A reception and reunion for former and current students was held in Ramgati, Lakshmipur, on Wednesday, bringing together students, teachers and notable members of the local community.
The programme was organised at the auditorium of Ramgati Abdul Hadi College at 10am on September 16.
Advocate Ashraf Uddin Nijan, MP, attended the event as the chief guest. Mostafa Mizanur Rahman, a teacher at Jajia High School, chaired the programme.
Former and current students from different professions and backgrounds, along with teachers and local dignitaries, participated in the event. The gathering created a festive atmosphere as former students reunited after a long period.
Organisers said the event was arranged to strengthen communication and cordial relations between former and current students and to pass on memories and traditions associated with the educational institution to the younger generation.
The programme included students’ recollections, discussions and a reception for former students. The event concluded with participants exchanging greetings and catching up with one another.
