RAB has recovered a locally made LG shooter gun and two rounds of ammunition that were found abandoned in Raozan, Chattogram.
The information was disclosed in a press release signed by A.R.M. Mozzafar Hossain, assistant director (media) of RAB-7, on Tuesday (September 15).
According to RAB, a team conducted an operation in the Jururkul Bazar area of southern Raozan at around 10:15pm on Monday (September 14), acting on a tip-off about the presence of firearms.
During a search near a haystack belonging to a local man named Kalu Mia, the team found an abandoned LG shooter gun and two rounds of ammunition.
RAB Assistant Director A.R.M. Mozzafar Hossain said the recovered firearm and ammunition had been handed over to Raozan Police Station for legal action.
He added that RAB operations of this nature would continue to ensure the safety and security of local residents.
