The first session of the 13th National Parliament opened to a chaotic start as opposition MPs from Jamaat-e-Islami staged a walkout during President Md. Shahabuddin’s address.

The unrest began shortly after Speaker Hafiz Uddin invited the President to deliver his speech. Jamaat MPs immediately stood in protest, brandishing placards with slogans such as "No treachery with July" and "Stop treachery with July." Despite the Speaker’s repeated calls for order and calm, the shouting continued.

As the President proceeded with his address, the atmosphere remained tense. While BNP and treasury bench MPs signaled their support by thumping their desks, the opposition continued their ruckus before eventually walking out of the hall in protest.
