


Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay departed from Dhaka for Thimphu this morning, concluding his two-day state visit to Bangladesh.
Around 8:30 am, Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport was seen off by Foreign Adviser M. Touhid Hossain, Commerce Adviser Sheikh Bashir Uddin and Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam.
Before departure, the Prime Minister was accorded a static guard of honour, consistent with state protocol.
During his state visit, Prime Minister Tobgay engaged in several high-level activities and official meetings.
The two countries formalized cooperation by signing two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), one focusing on healthcare services and concerning internet connectivity. Prime Minister Tobgay held bilateral discussions with Bangladesh Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus.
His schedule also included meetings with various Bangladeshi advisers, key government officials, and political leaders.
