

Gas supply will remain temporarily suspended for 24 hours in several areas of the country from 8am on Friday (September 18), Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company has announced.
According to a notice issued by Titas Gas, the disruption will occur to facilitate a tie-in for the relocation of an existing gas pipeline along the Ashulia Road under the Dhaka-Ashulia Elevated Expressway project.
Gas supply will remain suspended from 8am Friday until 8am Saturday (September 19) on both sides of the road from Ashulia Bazar to Baipayl, covering all categories of customers.
The affected areas include Dhaka EPZ, Malancha Power Plant, Beximco DRS (Beximco Industrial Complex), Kashimpur, Sardaganj, Haji Market, Sreepur, Chandra, Chandra Mor, Nabinagar, Savar Town, Savar Cantonment, Ulail, Bank Town, Savar Radio Colony, Kalma, Dosaid, Kumkumari, Akran, Charabag, Baro Ashulia, Tongabari, Kathgara, Zirabo, Gazirchat, Nayapara, Dewan Idris Road and both sides of the surrounding area, Nayarhat, Balibhadrapur, Palli Bidyut, Dendabar, Bhadaile, Latifpur, Manikganj and adjacent areas.
Titas Gas also warned that customers in surrounding areas may experience low gas pressure during the period.
The company expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience caused to customers.
