The highly anticipated Dhaka concert of popular Indian singer-songwriter Anupam Roy has been postponed just a day before the event. Organizer Yamaha Music Bangladesh announced the sudden decision on Thursday.
The concert, titled "One True Sound," was scheduled to take place at the United Convention Center in Dhaka on Friday, June 26. According to the organizers, all logistical preparations were complete, and the necessary government approvals had been secured. However, they were abruptly instructed by the Ministry of Home Affairs to halt the event due to "unavoidable circumstances." Organizers assured fans that everyone who purchased a ticket will receive a full refund through the official ticketing platform.
Details regarding the refund process and a potential new date for the concert will be shared on Yamaha Music Bangladesh’s official Facebook page within 24 hours. Anupam Roy confirmed the news, stating he was notified of the postponement by the organizers on Thursday morning. Jointly organized by Yamaha Music Bangladesh and Triple Time Communications, the event was also slated to feature a performance by the local musical group Bengal Symphony alongside Anupam Roy and his band.
