


As part of the country's drive to expand digital financial services under the Smart Bangladesh initiative, Janata Bank PLC, Muksudpur Branch, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Scholars Public School to introduce a digital payment system for the institution.
Under the agreement, students' tuition fees and all other institutional charges can now be paid securely, conveniently, and quickly through Janata Bank's digital banking app. The new service will enable parents to make payments from home without visiting the bank or the school, reducing queues and ensuring greater transparency and efficiency in financial transactions.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Syed Abu Jahid, Deputy General Manager of Janata Bank PLC's Faridpur Area Office, as the chief guest. Md. Eskandar Ali, Senior Principal Officer of the Faridpur Area Office, attended as the special guest. The event was chaired by Md. Enamul Hasan, Manager of Janata Bank PLC, Muksudpur Branch.
Among those present were Ahidul Islam, Head Teacher of Scholars Public School; Md. Shiru Mia, President of Muksudpur Press Club; Hafizur Rahman Lebu, Vice President of the Press Club; Kazi Ohidul Islam, General Secretary; Arifen Mukta, Joint General Secretary; Abdullah Al Mamun, Publicity Secretary; Noor Alam Sheikh, Executive Member; along with teachers, students, and parents of the school.
Speaking at the event, the guests said Janata Bank has been playing a significant role in promoting digital banking and cashless transactions across the country. They noted that the introduction of digital fee collection would make the payment process more convenient, secure, transparent, and modern for educational institutions. They also emphasized that such initiatives would contribute significantly to expanding digital financial services and supporting the implementation of the Smart Bangladesh vision.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the guests described the initiative as timely and people-friendly and expressed hope for its successful implementation.
