


Around 28,600 children received vitamin A capsules in Paikgachha, Khulna, as part of the National Vitamin A Plus Campaign. Organized by the Public Health Nutrition Institute and the Upazila Health Department, the initiative aims to prevent malnutrition-related blindness, reduce child mortality, and boost children's immunity.
On Sunday, June 28, the campaign ran from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM across 241 centers spanning 10 unions and one municipality in the upazila. Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Ahsanara Binte Ahmed visited and supervised activities at several centers.
According to health officials, 3,450 children aged 6 to 11 months received blue vitamin A capsules, while 25,150 children aged 12 to 59 months received red vitamin A capsules.
