


The Bogura Zila Parishad distributed grant cheques totaling Tk 3.425 million (approximately Tk 3.43 million) to 33 religious, educational, and social institutions on Sunday to support local development and community welfare. The grants were presented during a ceremony at the Bogura Zila Parishad conference room, where Administrator A.K.M. Ahsanul Tayeb Zakir handed over the cheques to representatives of the recipient organizations.
The funding is intended to help improve educational facilities, religious institutions, and community-based social services across the district.
Speaking at the event, Zakir said the government remains committed to public welfare and the development of religious and social institutions. He also expressed his view that development initiatives have expanded in Bogura under the current BNP-led government.
Zakir additionally called on attendees to pray for Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and the family of former President Ziaur Rahman, describing continued national development as a shared goal.
Among those attending the ceremony were Chief Executive Officer Golam Mohammad Shahnewaz, Executive Officer Mousumi Haque, Administrative Officer Mizanur Rahman, Senior Assistant Shafiqul Islam Badsha, Accountant Khairul Islam, Office Assistant-cum-Computer Operator Abdul Azid, along with other Zila Parishad officials and representatives of the beneficiary institutions.
Representatives of the recipient organizations welcomed the financial assistance, saying the grants would help improve educational, religious, and social services in their communities.
