Two Killed in Truck Collision on Bhanga Expressway

Two people died early Monday after a truck crashed into the back of another truck on the Dhaka-Bhanga Expressway in Bhanga, Faridpur.

The accident occurred around 5:00 AM near the Atadi Flyover area. The identities of the deceased could not be immediately confirmed.

According to Sub-Inspector (SI) Md. Sohel Khan of the Bhanga Highway Police Station, a Dhaka-bound truck carrying fish rammed into the back of a stationary or slow-moving truck loaded with saplings. The impact killed two occupants of the fish truck on the spot.

"We believe the victims are the driver and the assistant of the fish truck," SI Khan said.

Police have recovered the bodies and seized both vehicles. The bodies are currently kept at the police station, and legal proceedings are underway.
