The Daily Campus Publishes 4th Edition of ‘Compass’ for Higher Education Aspirants

The Daily Campus has published the fourth edition of its annual publication ‘Compass’, designed to help students preparing for admission to universities and other higher education institutions across Bangladesh.

The latest edition brings together essential information on university admissions, higher education preparation, campus life, subject selection and career planning, offering prospective students a comprehensive guide as they prepare for the next stage of their academic journey.

‘Compass’ is published annually with the aim of providing students with reliable information and practical guidance before they enter higher education.

The fourth edition focuses on several key areas, including:

  • University admission procedures
  • Admission test preparation
  • Subject and university selection
  • Career planning
  • Campus life
  • Higher education opportunities
  • University-specific admission information

The publication is intended to help students make informed decisions during one of the most important transitions in their academic lives.

The latest issue features articles and insights from prominent figures in Bangladesh's education sector, including Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) Chairman Professor Dr Md Akhtar Hossain Khan and Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr ABM Obaidul Islam.

The magazine also includes advice from students who secured top positions in admission tests at leading institutions during the 2024-25 academic year.

Their experiences and recommendations cover preparation strategies, study planning and approaches to university admission tests, providing prospective candidates with practical insights from successful examinees.

One of the key features of this year's ‘Compass’ is its collection of information on 59 approved public universities and 116 private universities in Bangladesh.

The magazine provides important information about these institutions, including:

  • Admission procedures
  • Number of seats
  • Available academic opportunities
  • Other essential admission-related information

This is intended to allow students to compare their options and better understand the admission landscape before making decisions about their higher education.

Speaking about the publication, The Daily Campus Editor Mahbub Rony said the publication is intended to become more than just a magazine.

“‘Compass’ is not just a magazine; we want to develop it as a guide for students seeking admission to higher education.”

He said the publication attempts to bring together in one place the information and advice students need before entering university.

Rony also emphasised the importance of accurate information and proper guidance during the university admission period, describing higher education admission as a crucial stage in a student's life.

He said The Daily Campus plans to make future editions more comprehensive and information-rich and expand the publication's scope.

The latest edition marks the fourth publication of ‘Compass’. The Daily Campus previously released three editions of the magazine.

Published each year ahead of the higher education admission season, ‘Compass’ has increasingly become a useful resource for students preparing for university admission in Bangladesh.
