


Rain and thunderstorms accompanied by temporary gusty winds are expected to sweep across 10 regions of Bangladesh including the capital Dhaka on Thursday.
According to the latest inland river port warning, squally winds are projected to reach speeds between 45 and 60 kilometers per hour. The forecast is valid from 9:00 pm Wednesday through Thursday morning.
The turbulent weather is likely to affect the regions of Dhaka, Faridpur, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet.
In response to the forecast, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has advised all river ports in these specified areas to hoist Cautionary Signal Number One. Inland vessel operators and passengers are urged to exercise caution while navigating the waterways during this period.
