


The government has transferred 12 high-ranking Bangladesh Police officials, including Additional Deputy Inspectors General (Addl. DIG) and Superintendents of Police (SP).
The Ministry of Home Affairs issued two separate notifications on Thursday (April 30), stating that the reshuffle is in the public interest and effective immediately.
According to the notifications, several senior officers will take up new roles across various units:
Maqbul Hossain: Commandant (SP) of Satkhira Inservice Training Center, moved to SP of Kushtia.
Md. Iqbal (Addl. DIG): Dhaka APBN-12 Captain, moved to Captain of Dhaka APBN-5.
Md. Enamul Kabir (Addl. DIG): Highway Police, moved to Captain of Dhaka APBN-12.
Mohammad Sihab Kaiser Khan (Addl. DIG): Dhaka APBN-13 Captain, moved to the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).
Mohammad Kamruzzaman & Md. Khalidul Haque Howlader: Both RAB Directors (Addl. DIG) have been appointed as Joint Commissioners of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
The reshuffle also impacts district leadership and specialized branches:
Mohammad Rabiul Hossain Bhuiyan (Supernumerary Addl. DIG): Previously DMP Deputy Commissioner, now SP of the Naval Police.
Nusrat Jahan Mukta: Promoted to Additional SP of the Special Branch (SB).
Md. Mizanur Rahman: Dhaka District SP, transferred to PBI.
Shamima Parveen: Transferred from the Police Directorate to become the new Dhaka District SP.
Mohammad Hasan Chowdhury: Bagerhat SP, moved to the Chittagong Range.
Hasan Mohammad Naser Rikabder: DMP Deputy Commissioner, moved to SP of Bagerhat.
