The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has placed all airports across the country on high alert in response to the "ongoing violence and acts of sabotage" reported nationwide.
All airports have been instructed to deploy the maximum number of security personnel to ensure passenger safety. The directive mandates 24/7 monitoring through CCTV cameras across all airport premises.
All forms of patrolling and monitoring systems within the airport areas have been intensified. Necessary preparations have been made to take immediate measures in the event of any "possible untoward situation."
Overall fire surveillance activities have been strengthened to ensure a quick response in case of emergency.
Assistant Director (Public Relations) Muhammad Kawsar Mahmud emphasized that "Ensuring passengers' safety is our top priority." He urged the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies, confirming that formal letters detailing these necessary measures were sent from the CAAB headquarters to all airports.
