The Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) has announced the latest price structure for gold and silver in the local market. Following recent upward adjustments, prices remain significantly high with top-tier gold exceeding Tk.2.32 lakh per Bhori (11.664 grams).

Currently best quality 22-carat gold is officially priced at Tk.2,32,930 per Bhori inclusive of VAT. Buyers looking for 21-carat gold will need to pay Tk.2,00,491 per Bhori while 18-carat gold is selling for Tk.1,91,056 per Bhori. For traditional-method gold and the price has been set at Tk.1,56,064 per Bhori.

The silver market also reflects these updated rates. Premium 22-carat silver is now priced at Tk.5,016 per Bhori. Meanwhile the 21-carat silver is trading at Tk.4,782 and traditional-method silver is available for standard retail purchases.

These prevailing rates officially came into effect on September 12 after BAJUS hiked the price of high-quality gold by Tk.1,050 per Bhori in response to the local bullion market's fluctuations. Earlier in September market saw a brief price drop but rates quickly rebounded.

BAJUS regularly adjusts these rates based on the local supply and demand for pure gold. Jewelers across the country will continue to sell gold and silver at these fixed prices until the association announces its next market update.
