Gold prices in Bangladesh have increased again, less than 24 hours after the previous price reduction. The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has raised the price of gold by Tk 1,050 per bhori for 22-carat gold.
The new prices came into effect at 10am on Saturday (September 12), according to a notice issued after a meeting of BAJUS's Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring.

According to the latest decision:
22-carat gold: Tk 232,930 per bhori 21-carat gold: Tk 222,491 per bhori 18-carat gold: Tk 191,056 per bhori Traditional-method gold: Tk 156,064 per bhori
The price of 21-carat gold increased by Tk 1,050, while 18-carat gold rose by Tk 933 per bhori. Traditional-method gold increased by Tk 758 per bhori.
Silver Prices Remain Unchanged
While gold prices have increased, the prices of silver jewellery remain unchanged.

BAJUS Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring Chairman Dr Dewan Aminul Islam Shaheen signed the notice announcing the latest price adjustment.
