Man Dies of Electrocution in Naogaon's Porsha Upazila

A 36-year-old man died after being electrocuted at his home in Porsha Upazila of Naogaon on Saturday morning.

The deceased identified as Tohurul Islam the son of the late Rabu Mistry a resident of Shobhapur village under Nitpur Union.

Local residents and family members said the accident occurred at around 6:00 am when Tohurul was repairing an electrical line connected to his household water-pump motor. He accidentally came into direct contact with a live, uninsulated wire and sustained critical injuries.

Family members rushed him to the Porsha Upazila Health Complex where the attending physician declared him dead upon arrival.

Porsha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ziaur Rahman confirmed the incident, adding that the body was handed over to the family following legal formalities.
