Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Friday afternoon toured the capital to personally inspect the ongoing removal of sacrificial animal waste following Eid-ul-Azha.

The Prime Minister began his inspection around 4:00 PM, driving himself through several key areas of the city, confirmed Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony.

Setting out from his Gulshan residence, the premier traveled through Gulshan-1, Hatirjheel, Rampura, Malibagh, Taltola and Basabo to observe cleanliness and waste management efforts.

According to Rony, the tour also covered major areas and intersections including Kamalapur, Sayedabad, Jatrabari, Dholai Khal, Narinda, Ray Saheb Bazar, Naya Bazar, Bangshal, and Gulistan.

The Prime Minister further extended his inspection to Shahbagh, Elephant Road, the Dhaka University campus, New Market, Dhanmondi, Manik Mia Avenue and Mohakhali to assess the progress of waste clearance operations being executed by the city authorities.
