Three-day Charmonai Ijtema begins in Kurigram

The three-day Charmonai Ijtema has begun on the eastern bank of the Dharla Bridge, very close to Kurigram district.

On Thursday (December 18) afternoon, the activities of this Ijtema were officially launched through the inaugural speech of Syed Fazlul Karim (Rah.) Jamia Islamia Madrasa ground, the Ameer of the Islamic Movement in Bangladesh, Syed Mohammad Rezaul Karim Pir Saheb Charmonai.

Earlier, when Pir Saheb Charmonai reached the Ijtema ground, the leaders and volunteers of the Kurigram District Mujahid Committee greeted him with flowers and honored him. He entered the Ijtema ground amidst tight security.

A festive and religious atmosphere was created in the Ijtema ground centered on the arrival of Pir Saheb. Thousands of devotees present across the field are showing great enthusiasm and enthusiasm.

The organizing committee has informed that the three-day Ijtema will end with the final prayer on Sunday morning. The organizers are expecting a gathering of several lakhs of people for the Ijtema.

Meanwhile, volunteers, along with law enforcement agencies, are working round the clock to ensure that devotees can perform all religious activities including worship safely and without any hindrance.

Mohammad Momin Jehadi, secretary of the Ijtema organizing committee, said that the three-day Ijtema in Charmonai, organized by the Kurigram district branch of the Bangladesh Mujahid Committee, has started today. It will end with the final prayer on Sunday, InshaAllah.
