An SB Paribahan passenger bus traveling from Kushtia plunged into the Padma River after losing control at Daulatdia Ferry Ghat No. 7 in Rajbari at 9:30 a.m. on Friday (June 5). Casualties are feared, and rescue operations are currently underway.

This marks the second major tragedy at the Daulatdia terminal recently. Just months ago, on March 25, a Dhaka-bound Souhardya Paribahan bus fell into the river at Ghat No. 3 under similar circumstances, claiming 26 lives.
