Security guard's body found tied up in mobile phone tower room in Gazipur

Police have found the body of a security guard named Mir Altab Hossain (65) tied up in a mobile phone tower room in Pubail area of Gazipur metropolis. His body was recovered from the tower in Meghdubi Daktarbari area of Pubail on Monday morning.

The deceased Altab Hossain is the son of the deceased Mir Kazimuddin Master of the local Meghdubi area. He had been working as a security guard at the Banglalink network tower for a long time.

According to family and police sources, officials of the tower management company contacted his family without finding any trace of Altab Hossain till morning. Upon receiving the news, Altab Hossain's son went to Sabuj Tower and saw his father's body tied up. He later informed the police.

Pubail Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Molla Md. Khalid Hasan said, "Someone tied the security guard's hands and feet with a muffler and covered his nose and mouth with scotch tape and left his body at the scene." We inspected the scene. We received information that he was stolen from the tower. The body has been sent to the morgue of Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.

No arrests or clear motives have been made in the incident yet. However, the police have already started an investigation to find out who committed the murder and what the motive was.
