Paris Saint-Germain delivered a sensational performance to demolish hosts Bayern Leverkusen 7-2 in the Champions League on Tuesday, a game that saw both teams reduced to ten men for nearly an hour.

The holders secured a club-record-equalling sixth consecutive win in the competition, maintaining a perfect nine points after three matches. A decisive seven-minute flurry at the end of a chaotic first half, featuring two goals from Desire Doue, effectively sealed the rout.

Ballon d'Or winner Ousmane Dembele also scored upon his return from injury, showcasing the French side's unstoppable form which ended Leverkusen's nine-match unbeaten home run against European opposition.

"We played very well... we deserved the victory," said PSG coach Luis Enrique, adding the ten-on-ten scenario made for a "strange" but ultimately successful night for his proud team.
