


Nine more children have died from measles and measles-related symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) three children died after being diagnosed with measles, while six others died with measles symptoms.
The information was released in the DGHS regular measles situation report on Tuesday (May 12).
During the same period 1,105 more children developed measles symptoms nationwide.
Since March 15, the total number of suspected measles cases has risen to 51,567.
The DGHS said 87 children were newly confirmed with measles in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of confirmed cases has reached 7,244 since March 15.
A total of 36,881 children have been admitted to hospitals with measles symptoms during this period. Among them, 32,877 children have recovered and returned home.
