


The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning regarding Cyclone 'Ditwah', which is currently positioned over the Sri Lanka coast and the adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal.
The cyclone is moving in a north-northwestward direction and is expected to continue on this path. Chittagong: 1955 km southwest, Cox's Bazar: 1845 km southwest, Mongla: 1845 km southwest, Payra: 1845 km southwest
Maximum Wind Speed: The maximum sustained wind speed within 54 km of the cyclone center is 62 km per hour, escalating to 88 km per hour in the form of gusts or squalls.
Sea Condition: The sea near the cyclone center is currently described as very rough.
Warning Issued by Bangladesh Meteorological Department: In response to the situation, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has advised all four major seaports—Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra—to hoist Local Warning Signal Number 2 (Remote Warning Signs Number 2).
Advisory: All fishing boats and trawlers operating over the North Bay have been strongly advised not to venture into the deep sea until further notice.
