The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has reduced the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for February. At the consumer level, a 12-kg LPG cylinder will now cost Tk 1,341, down by Tk 15 from the previous rate.

The regulatory body announced the adjustment on Tuesday, stating that the new price is effective immediately. This revision follows the commission's regular review of global market trends and the Saudi Contract Price (CP).

While the official rate has been lowered, BERC officials reminded consumers that all licensed marketing companies must implement this price at the retail level to ensure the public receives the benefit of the reduction.
