


The district administration solemnly observed July Martyrs' Day on July 16, honoring those who sacrificed their lives during the July Movement.
The day’s programs began in the morning with floral tributes paid to the martyrs' memories. Key officials, including Deputy Commissioner SM Mehedi Hasan, District Council Administrator Shahabuddin Sabu, Additional Deputy Commissioner Samrat Khrisa, and Superintendent of Police Abu Tarek, led the wreath-laying ceremony. Representatives from various government departments and law enforcement agencies were also in attendance.
Following the tributes, a discussion meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office. Speakers reflected on the supreme sacrifices made during the July Movement, urging citizens to embrace the martyrs' spirit and work unitedly to rebuild the nation.
Government officials, civil society members, and local leaders at the event expressed their deep respect and reaffirmed their commitment to preserving the memory and ideals of the July martyrs.
