To enhance agricultural production, strengthen food security, and support small and marginal farmers, the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) inaugurated the Agricultural Incentive Programme for the Kharif-II season of the 2025–26 fiscal year in Muksudpur Upazila of Gopalganj. Under the programme, 4,400 farming families from 270 villages across the upazila will receive free seeds, fertilizers, fruit and forest tree saplings, and other agricultural inputs.

The inauguration ceremony was held on Sunday (5 July) at 11:00 a.m. at the Muksudpur Upazila Parishad Auditorium. The programme was formally inaugurated by Selimuzzaman Selim, MP, Member of Parliament for Gopalganj-1 and Joint Organizing Secretary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), who attended the event as the chief guest.
