Two Motorcyclists Killed in Chittagong Road Accident

Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident in the Dumpara area under Bandar Police Station in Chittagong city late Saturday night.

One victim has been identified as Asadul Islam, 50, son of Rustam Ali Howlader. He was a resident of the Sagarika Haji Camp area under Pahartali Police Station. The second victim, aged approximately 45, remains unidentified.

Eyewitnesses reported that a container-laden truck struck the motorcycle while attempting to overtake another truck, killing both riders on the spot.

Bandar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Abdur Rahim confirmed the incident. He stated that police recovered the victims around midnight and transported them to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH), where on-duty doctors officially declared them dead.

The bodies have been transferred to the CMCH morgue for an autopsy. Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the collision.
