Body of unidentified woman recovered from Madhumoti River

The Baradia Naval Police have recovered the body of an unidentified woman from the Madhumoti River in Lohagara Upazila, Narail. Police estimate the woman was between 30 and 35 years old.

Locals spotted the body floating near the Kotakol Kheyaghat area around 9:30 pm on Tuesday (March 24). Upon being alerted, a team from the Baradia Naval Police Outpost arrived at the scene to retrieve the body.

Enayet Hossain, Sub-Inspector (SI) of the Baradia Naval Police Outpost, confirmed that the body has been sent to the Narail Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Preliminary investigations suggest the body may have drifted into the area from upstream. Police are currently working to establish the woman's identity, and legal proceedings are underway.
