


Narail-2 MP Ataur Rahman Bachchu on Friday inaugurated the ‘Clean Narail’ programme, aimed at removing accumulated household waste from Narail Municipality.
The programme formally began around 8:00am in the Sitarampur area along the Narail–Jashore Road, where garbage piles were cleaned and deodorised in the presence of local leaders and activists.
Later, the MP joined a cleanliness drive in front of the Lohagara Upazila Health Complex, taking part in the waste removal activities.
Speaking on the occasion, Ataur Rahman Bachchu said the Clean Narail programme would continue to raise public awareness about cleanliness and encourage people to keep their surroundings tidy. He added that he would personally take part in public welfare activities whenever needed.
Leaders and activists from Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and the Bangladesh Workers Welfare Federation were also present at the event.
Among them were Jamaat’s Narail district executive committee members Hemayetul Haque Himu and Jamirul Haque Tutul, Narail Municipality Jamaat Ameer Zakir Hossain, Workers Welfare Federation Narail district president Md Akidul Islam, and secretary Hafez Maulana Mirajul Islam, along with other local leaders.
