Professor Dr Ilias Molla, a member of parliament representing Faridpur-1, has distributed financial assistance cheques among promising students and underprivileged people in Madhukhali upazila of Faridpur.
The cheque distribution programme was held at 11am on Wednesday, October 21, at the upazila hall under the Ministry of Social Welfare.
A total of 40 people received assistance under the programme. Each of the 20 students and 20 disadvantaged individuals was given a cheque for Tk 10,000.
Among those present at the event were Madhukhali Upazila Nirbahi Officer Masudur Rahman, Madhukhali Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Maulana Alimuzzaman, municipal Jamaat Ameer Rezaul Karim and municipal Jamaat Secretary Master Mohammad Khalilur Rahman, along with other political and social leaders.
