Miscreants set fire to Grameen Bank in Lakshmipur

A fire broke out at the Laharkandi branch of Grameen Bank in Laharkandi union of Lakshmipur Sadar upazila. The incident occurred around 4:30 am on Sunday. The quick efforts of locals and the activities of the bank's security guards prevented major damage.

Bank security guard Md. Hanif said that around 4 am, someone gathered garbage and garbage in front of the bank and set it on fire. When he shouted after seeing the smoke, locals rushed to control the fire before it spread.

Bank manager Md. Rezaul Karim said that the security guard saw the fire as soon as it broke out. Later, we brought the fire under control. He confirmed that there was no damage to the bank in the incident.

The authorities concerned are working to investigate the cause of the incident.
