


In a series of coordinated arson attacks, four parked buses were set on fire by unidentified individuals across separate locations in Gazipur city, Sreepur upazila, and Ashulia late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning (November 12).
The attacks, believed to involve the use of petrol, resulted in one minor injury to a bus driver with start of Early Wednesday Peyara Bagan, Basan Police Station (Gazipur) Miscreants poured petrol on a parked VIP Paribahan bus near the Dhaka-Tangail highway Bus set ablaze; no one inside; locals alleged delayed fire service response (denied by Fire Service).
Sarkar Market, Ashulia Miscreants on two motorcycles set fire to an Alif Paribahan bus parked near the Women and Children Hospital. Bus driver sustained minor leg injuries while escaping through a window. Miscreants allegedly opened fire when security guards approached.
Berai Der Chala, Sreepur Police Station Another parked bus was torched by miscreants. Firefighters brought flames under control; bus engine and seats burned. Chakrabarti area, Kashimpur Police Station Two men on a motorcycle poured petrol on a passenger bus parked in front of a filling station where a Locals quickly extinguished the fire, limiting damage to seats and some mechanical parts.
The DEPZ Fire Service and Civil Defence confirmed the Ashulia incident, noting that no casualties were reported aside from the driver's minor injury. Authorities are actively investigating the incidents, which have created alarm in the affected areas.
