Four Gazipur Land Officials Suspended Over Broker Nexus and Negligence

Four staff members of the Kashimpur Union Land Office in Gazipur have been suspended following a surprise inspection that uncovered severe irregularities including the use of unauthorized brokers to conduct official government business.

Gazipur Deputy Commissioner (DC) Nurul Karim Bhuiyan issued the suspension orders on Saturday and initiated formal departmental action. The suspended employees are Deputy Assistant Officer Md. Wazed Ali Khan alongside Office Assistants Md. Shafiqul Islam Muhammad Mostafa Kamal and Tapash Chandra Shil.

The disciplinary action stems from a Monday morning inspection led by the DC, prompted by longstanding public complaints of negligence and harassment at local land offices. During the unannounced visit, the administrative team caught outsiders handling sensitive official files.

Furthermore the designated staff failed to produce required administrative documents or demonstrate basic competence with the government's digital land mutation software.

"They are not operating according to the rules" DC Bhuiyan stated. "When we demanded explanations and examined their records they failed to justify their actions or provide proper documentation."

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Sohel Rana, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sajjad Hossain and Tongi Assistant Commissioner (Land) Hasibur Rahman accompanied the DC during the raid.

Following the Kashimpur intervention the administrative team also inspected the nearby Safipur Union Land Office. Identifying similar procedural irregularities there the DC issued strict warnings to the staff demanding immediate improvements in public service delivery.
