


Assistant Attorney General Md. Mahfuzur Rahman has resigned just four days after his appointment citing personal reasons.
He submitted his resignation to the Ministry of Law Justice and Parliamentary Affairs on Monday August 3.
Rahman was among 179 individuals appointed as Assistant Attorneys General by the Solicitor Wing on July 30, 2026. In his official letter Rahman stated he was voluntarily stepping down noting that personal circumstances made it impossible for him to fulfill the duties of the role. He formally requested the immediate acceptance of his resignation.
