


Marvel Studios revealed the cast of its upcoming X-Men reboot at D23. The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, California on Friday. Studio president Kevin Feige introduced the lineup onstage with director Jake Schreier and star Sadie Sink leading the reveal.
Sink, who debuted as Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day will lead the new team. She is joined by Kit Connor as Cyclops, Christopher Abbott as Professor X, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue and Maya Boyd as Storm. Adam Driver with appearing via video call was confirmed as the film's villain, Mister Sinister marking his MCU debut. Feige said more casting news is still to come.
The film, the first X-Men project since Disney's 2019 acquisition of Fox is set for release on May 5, 2028 following Avengers: Secret Wars.
D23 also featured a first look at Avengers: Doomsday with Robert Downey Jr. appearing as Doctor Doom alongside returning stars Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film follows heroes from three universes facing a major new threat.
Other announcements included updates on the Star Wars franchise, a Percy Jackson and the Olympians season teaser and first looks at live-action Tangled, Coco 2, Oswald and The Bluey Movie. Disney also revealed Frozen 3 with Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff returning teasing a wedding between Anna and Kristoff.
