


A 24-year-old mother of two died after falling from a mango tree in Faridpur’s Madhukhali Upazila on Thursday morning.
The deceased, Runa Begum, was visiting her father’s home in Paschim Arpara village. According to family members, she was climbing a tree to pick mangoes around 11:30 am when a branch snapped, causing her to fall and sustain a severe head injury.
Her family rushed her to the Madhukhali Upazila Health Complex, but doctors declared her dead upon arrival.
Dr. Md. Kabir Sardar, a resident physician at the complex, confirmed the cause of death. "She was brought in with massive head trauma. It appears she passed away before reaching the hospital," he stated.
The tragic accident has cast a deep shadow of mourning over the local community.
