BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee said that the book reading competition is a wonderful initiative. Such competitions should be held regularly. This will increase the knowledge of students. On the other hand, they will be able to understand good and bad.

He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the book reading and literature quiz competition program at the Lakshmipur Town Hall auditorium on Thursday (October 30) afternoon. Lakshmipur Public Library and Town Hall organized the program.

Anee Chowdhury said that the biggest problem in society today is drugs. Social awareness is essential to eradicate it. Various awareness programs should be conducted in schools and colleges. To keep students busy. They should be kept away from mobiles and drugs. In this regard, the book reading competition will play a very important role. In short, anti-drug campaign should be increased in educational institutions.

He also said that most students are using social media Facebook and smart phones. However, the good thing should be accepted through this. Because, just as there are good things, there are bad things too. We have to use the internet with positive thoughts. Smart phones and social media have to promote positive things. Everyone has to believe in this mindset.

The program was presided over by Main Uddin Pathan, General Secretary of Lakshmipur Town Library, and among others, Helal Uddin Mahmud, Harunur Rashid Bablu, Saiful Islam Tapan, Harunur Rashid were present as guests. The judges of the competition were Professor Gias Uddin and Kartik Sengupta.
