Authorities arrested a woman with 250 grams of ganja during a joint operation in the 16 Dag area of Bahirchar Union, Bheramara Upazila, on Monday afternoon.

The operation, conducted around 1:00 PM, was led by Bheramara Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Dr. Gazi Ashiq Bahar, alongside Havildar Farid Mia of the 47 BGB Kushtia Battalion and a local police team.

The arrestee has been identified as Rozina Khatun (38), wife of Ashraful Islam. Officials stated that Rozina had allegedly been involved in drug peddling near the 16 Dag passenger camp for an extended period.

A case has been filed against her at Bheramara Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018.
