Youth killed by road accident in Tala Satkhira

A youth named Mir Munna (32) was killed in a road accident in Jatpur area of ​​Khulna-Paikgachha highway in Tala upazila of Satkhira. The accident occurred around 9 pm on Saturday in the area adjacent to Jatpur Bazar of the upazila.

Mir Munna (32) is the son of Mujibur Rahman of Khajra village of Tala Sadar union of the upazila. He used to work as a delivery man for a company.

Eyewitness Enamul Islam Emon said that Mir Munna was going towards Tala from the direction of Atharomile in an engine van. At that time, a mini pickup (Dhaka Metro-DA-11-3816) coming from the opposite direction hit him hard, causing Munna to fall under the pickup and the rear wheel of the pickup to land on his back. After the accident, local people quickly reached the spot, rescued him and sent him to Khulna Medical College Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him death at around 11 pm while undergoing treatment.

Tala Police Station OC Shahidul Islam Howlader said that the pickup (Dhaka Metro DA- 11-3816) involved in the accident has been seized at Tala Police Station. Legal action will be taken in this incident.
