Police activity in Satkhira's Tala has increased

In anticipation of the forthcoming elections in Tala, Satkhira, there has been a notable increase in police activity.

This surge follows the appointments of the new Superintendent of Police, Arefin Jewel, and the new Officer-in-Charge of Tala Police Station, Shahidul Islam. To enhance the law and order situation, intelligence surveillance, as well as anti-militancy and anti-drug operations, have been intensified. As part of these efforts, the police station is establishing check posts at various locations throughout the upazila.

OC Shahidul Islam of Tala Police Station announced that these check posts will commence operations on Saturday, December 13, 2025, and will remain active until the parliamentary elections scheduled for February 12, 2025.

The check posts will be manned at different sites in the upazila, with the presence of an executive magistrate, and will be supported by the officer-in-charge of Tala Police Station. The police will be available around the clock to assist the community.
