Coast Guard Arrests Drug Dealer with Marijuana and Yaba in Bhola

The Bangladesh Coast Guard has arrested a suspected drug dealer, identified as Md. Nagar (40), during a special operation in Bhola Sadar on Wednesday night.

Acting on a confidential tip-off, a team from Coast Guard Base Bhola raided the West Para area near Dargar Road at approximately 10 pm on January 21. During the search, officials recovered: 1 kg of Marijuana, 136 pieces of Yaba, 7,800 BDT in cash 1 Motorcycle (used for distribution)

The total market value of the seized narcotics is estimated at 98,000 BDT.

Lt. Md. Abul Kashem, Media Officer of the Coast Guard South Zone, confirmed the arrest. The suspect, a resident of Charnoabad Ward No. 5 under Bhola Municipality, has been handed over to Bhola Sadar Police Station. Legal proceedings are currently underway.
