Pabna Man, 32, Hacked to Death in Malanchi

A 32-year-old man was hacked and stabbed to death by unidentified attackers in Malanchi Union of Pabna Sadar upazila on Sunday evening.

The incident took place around 5:30pm on October 4 in Bill Bhaduria village of the union.

The deceased was identified as Suman Hossain, son of Rabiu Islam of Bill Bhaduria village.

Pabna Additional Superintendent of Police Shakhawat Hossain confirmed the incident.

He said Suman was repeatedly stabbed with a sharp weapon. After receiving the news, police were sent to the scene. The victim’s father told police that Suman was addicted to drugs.

The motive behind the killing and the identities of those involved were not immediately known. Police are investigating the incident and working to identify those responsible.

The body was recovered and kept at the morgue of Pabna General Hospital for autopsy.

Legal proceedings are underway, the additional superintendent of police said.
