A bus traveling through Gazipur unexpectedly ignited, resulting in approximately 80 percent damage. This incident occurred at 7:45 PM on Saturday, November 15, in the Hurricane Factory vicinity along the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway within the city.

Iqbal Hasan, Senior Station Officer of Gazipur Chowrasta Modern Fire Service, reported that upon receiving the alert, two of our units arrived at the scene and managed to extinguish the flames within roughly 20 minutes. He confirmed that there were no reported injuries from the incident.

Witnesses indicated that the bus's engine erupted in flames without warning. A few passengers were aboard the bus at the time, but all managed to evacuate safely. Subsequently, with assistance from local residents, fire service personnel arrived and controlled the fire. The driver and helper were not present at the scene following the event.

Mohammad Aminul Islam, Officer-in-charge of Gazipur Metropolitan Gacha Police Station, stated that the fire was caused by a mechanical failure within the bus. He noted that the vehicle was en route from Gazipur to Dhaka and ignited suddenly while it was stopped near the Hurricane Factory signboard area in Gazipur city.
